Social Everything

Joshua Porter reports on some upcoming features of the new Apple operating system, OS X Leopard: Apple Making Huge Social Network Software Push?

He outlines several new features in development that provide ways to collaborate with others – your iTunes library, your calendar, and even a Wiki-server.

“…all of these features are about enabling communication as much as they are about creating content. It’s about getting the right information to the right person at the right time through interaction with their friends and associates.”

This is indeed a trend happening all over the web, and is a primary force changing media companies. It is no longer just about content creation, but providing aggregation and collaboration processes as well.
