Commenting on Other People’s Blogs can Drive Traffic to Yours

Darren Rowse has a great example of how commenting on other people’s blogs can drive traffic to yours. Blogger Caroline Middlebrook spends a lot of time commenting on other blogs:

“The key to her success with this is that Caroline doesn’t spam blogs with meaningless comments – but she contributes to the conversations already happening, stays on topic and adds value to the blogs that she visits…”

Her analysis indicated the following:

“Ok first thing, 54 hours reading and commenting on other people’s blogs! Wow, and lets not forget 17.8 hours of social media! That’s 72 hours in total. All that stuff is mainly networking in my niche and I believe that is the main reason the blog has grown so well this month but that also accounts for 30% of my total time spent!”
