YouTube just launched a new section for university students. Like Facebook, they are private community areas only accessible by members of that community.
I find it fascinating that a small young company like YouTube is bending over backwards to create niche’s and cater to existing ones. So many businesses & publications are the leaders in their particular niche, but are asleep at the wheel. When a new upstart steals their marketshare, it is a wakeup call. But the whole time they were simply pushing the snooze button.
